Lightbringer's Gaze?
Hey, wasn't sure where to put this since it's a PvE skill, but me and a few friends have been playing in NF recently and noticed it doing anywhere between 66 and 188 damage. It states 100 holy damage, which shouldn't be reduced or increased because of the targets armour, right? Any ideas why?

So your observation is correct. Don't know why though.

anet is retarded and didn't make it armor ignoring, weird huh? or maybe the enemies are running leetsauce prot-spirit. one reasonable explantion for the increase though would be LB title damage increase on margos and demon things (although 100 + 40%of100=140) stupid stuff. (some buggies run frenzy =D)

the damage reduce is because of the enemy high armor.
the damage increase is because monster were in middle of using the skill Call to the Torment, torment creatures use it, they kneel for 5 seconds and take DOUBLE damage, if they don't die in these 5 secs, a copy of them is summoned which doesn't drop items / give exp. here is your answer.
EDIT: this isn't a bug like someone said ^^

Lightbringer's Gaze has never had any kind of consistent damage.
In Hard Mode, LB Gaze on a Madness Titan is almost a joke, and it will take only about 50% of the damage of the estimated skill. At Lightbringer Rank 8, it does 70 damage exactly. But bring any kind of monk smiting prayer skill, and you'll notice that you'll do more damage with those skills than their listed value. Spear of Light and Banish will do 76 damage even with a listed damage of 54 (14 smiting prayers). I.e., with the 40% bonus damage multiplier, you do more damage than the listed value.
So in short, you can turn two holy damage skills that have a list damage of 54 and turn it into 76. Then you take one holy damage skill with a listed damage of 100 and it turns into only 70 damage.

No idea why they wouldn't make it armor ignoring, since you know...it SHOULD be...
